Upcoming Rain Garden Event in Shelburne: Learn, Plant, and Protect Our Watersheds!

We’re excited to announce a special Rain Garden Event in partnership with Blue BTV, UVM Sea Grant, and Gardener’s Supply. This two-part event is designed to educate the community about the importance of rain gardens and provide hands-on opportunities to get involved.

Part 1: Rain Garden Education Presentation

Join us at Gardener’s Supply for an informative session where experts will cover the benefits of rain gardens, how they help mitigate stormwater runoff, and tips for creating and maintaining them in your own yard. This is a great opportunity to learn more about these beautiful and functional additions to your landscape and community.

Part 2: Rain Garden Planting Volunteer Day

After the presentation, roll up your sleeves and join us for a volunteer planting event at Shelburne Town Beach, where we’ll be installing a new rain garden. Volunteers will help plant a variety of rain garden plants to improve water quality and support local ecosystems. As a thank you for your time, all attendees will receive a free rain garden plant to take home!

This event is a wonderful way to get involved in preserving our local waterways while learning more about the benefits of rain gardens.
